Idle Hour in North Hollywood
Not only is this place literally in a barrel (how cool is that?) but it also has an amazing outside patio. This Instagram worthy spot has an adorable patio that’s absolutely perfect for a Sunday lunch, if you go on Sunday’s there’s live music.
Front Yard (inside the Garland hotel)
Featuring a beautiful outdoor fireplace this place is a lovely low-key brunch spot. This is the perfect location to come and grab a bite on a sunny SOCAL day. Don’t worry about it being too warm or sunny, the patio features plenty of shady spots.

Vitello’s
If you’re going on a date with a music lover this is an absolute must. They have a highly acclaimed Jazz room that features tunes that any real audiophile would appreciate. If you’re looking for a quiet conversation than swipe left on this date night idea.

Aroma Coffee and Tea
The perfect first date spot (especially if you’re meeting someone offline for the first time). It’s cute, it’s busy (but not too busy), and it’s open. This is perfect because when you’re meeting someone online for the first time it’s always a good idea to meet up somewhere open with a fair amount of foot traffic so you can fully gauge the situation before proceeding. The Aroma Coffee and Tea is more cozy and trendy than a Starbucks so it won’t give off the same “I’m feeling you out first vibes” that a Starbucks or coffee bean gives.
